What is the current level of happiness among the young and active European urban population, which is the core of the economy? Gradus Research surveyed residents of big cities who currently work in offices in the production of goods/services or retail business in 7 European countries with the largest economies (nominal GDP): Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, compared to Ukraine, as a country with a high level of stress and uncertainty, to find out what makes people feel happy there.
The Happy Dutch. Who also ranks high?
The survey data shows an above-average and high level of happiness among surveyed Europeans aged 25—55 years.
The Netherlands rates their happiness at 7.5 points on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 means "not at all happy" and 10 means "very happy," and thus rank first among the countries surveyed. Which means they are better provided with what they value most in life. We'll see what exactly that is later.
The United Kingdom comes in second with a happiness level of 7.4 points out of 10. Both France and Germany are just a little behind the UK with 7.3 points. Poland and Italy, in turn, declare a level of 6.9 and 6.8 respectively.
Among the surveyed countries, Ukraine demonstrates the lowest level of happiness (5.6 out of 10), obviously impacted by the ongoing war.
